Frank Holz (Owner)
Frank has studied mechanics and economics with a focus on international marketing. He started his career as a marketing consultant working for high class companies such as Daimler-Benz, Mercedes-Benz and D2 Mannesmann Mobilfunk (now Vodafone). He entered the games industry in 1996. He was Marketing Director at Infogrames, an exciting European games publisher, well known for its iconing game: ALONE IN THE DARK. Later he became Marketing Director at ATARI, one of the most famous gaming brands ever. Here he had the chance to handle the games marketing for well known Hollywood brands such as: TERMINATOR, TRANSFORMERS, MATRIX and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.
2008 he founded IEM Consulting, a business consultancy specialized in the games industry.
Within only two years Frank became one of the leading international consultants in business development for media and game companies. Frank and his team consults game developers, game publisher, multimedia entrepreneurs, investors as well as governments. He also consults the Federal Republic of Germany when it comes to internationalization of the local games industry.
IEM Consulting has a very special focus on the Asian market. In 2008 Frank met representatives from the government of Thailand. In 2009 he was assigned by the Thai Government to run an evaluation in Thailand about the status of the Thai gaming industry. As a result of this project, Frank became an official representative of the Thai Games Industry helping the local game developers to establish business relationships in Europe and USA
Frank has market more than 1000 games on an international level and is a very appreciated expert for games and new media. He has a very strong strategical background and a stable international network within the media and gaming industry. Due to his numerous consulting projects for governmental agencies, media companies and game developers in Asia, Frank has a huge business network in Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and India.
